My Week
April 25th – May 1st
In the Chamber
I attended the access to justice debate on the 26th April and asked the following question “I still find it very difficult to understand that while this Conservative Government voted not to take in 3,000 refugee children, the Ministry of Justice is proposing to raise written first-tier immigration and asylum tribunal fees by a massive 512%. How on earth are vulnerable people going to be able to challenge what are quite often errors by the Home Office”
Out and about around the constituency
On Friday 29th April, I paid a visit to Specific, Specific is based in Baglan Energy Park, it aims to address the challenge of low carbon electricity and heat by enabling buildings to generate, store and release their own energy, in one system, using only the energy from the sun.
On Saturday 30th April I went out on the campaign trail with Jeremy Miles, once again a great team out with him and a fantastic response on the doorstep. In the afternoon I headed down to Llanelli to help Lee Waters who also had a great response, I wish them both well in the Assembly Elections.
Weekdays at Westminster
Despite concessions from the government, I still oppose this unnecessary attack on trade unions and workers #TUBill
