The Western Warriors have been established for ten years. They are a cheer sport and dance group located in Neath Port Talbot. The group gives the children confidence and improves their self esteem. Western Warriors is a little family not just a sport competition group. They travel all over the UK taking part in competitions which is an amazing experience for the children. This year cheer is now officially recognised as an Olympic sport, however they do not receive funding in the UK as they do in America. This was the first year Wales entered the paracheer world championships and were placed first. Cheer is a very expensive sport and with no funding available, it is left to the parents to fund all cheer expenses. They need your help and would be very grateful if you could vote for them to help their cheerleaders fly higher and aim for the stars.
The top two from the group will go into the finals and they can win funding between £10,000 and £25,000 for facilities, equipment and competitions all over the UK. The link to the voting website is below, there is more information regarding the group.
